SOUTH32 COMMITS $25,000 TO COVID-19 COMMUNITY SUPPORT FUND TO SUPPORT SANTA CRUZ COUNTY
South32, owner of the Hermosa Project near Patagonia, Arizona, committed today to donate $25,000
to the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona’s COVID-19 Community Support Fund. This
donation by South32 will be earmarked to support organizations based in Santa Cruz County, Arizona.
The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona established the COVID-19 Community Response
Fund on March 12 to help ensure continuity of mission-critical services provided by nonprofits
organizations in the area.
“One person, one group, can’t go this alone,” said Hermosa President Pat Risner. “Every day, we are
actively seeking ways to help each other, our neighbours, and our communities, and we know we can
make a difference by supporting the capacity of local charities, especially those that share our core
value of care. Care is always important, but perhaps never more important than right now.”
According to the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, the fund will rapidly deploy flexible
