Local procurement

Local procurement is a key focus area for South32, and we believe in empowering our local communities to be able to provide for as much of our supply chain as possible. Local suppliers are understandably eager to realize the potential benefits of their proximity to Hermosa, a multigenerational opportunity that would represent the largest capital investment to date in Santa Cruz County. As we await completion of our studies and a final investment decision for Hermosa—expected by mid-2023—we are already doing work to identify local procurement opportunities and ways we can empower local providers to do business with us.
