Meet Patty! Our document controller who has worked with us for over six years. Her career at Hermosa began as a contractor and six years later she transitioned into a full-time position.
Patty has more than 11 years of experience as a document controller. After working as a school finance manager, she was introduced to document control in construction, where she found a new career that suited her abilities.
Today, she continues to grow her skills and works closely with the construction team at site and the IST team. Her role involves streamlining processes with stakeholders and to define the method for control, management and reporting of all documents. Although her days are always different and busy, Patty says, “The best part of coming to work is being and working with my team.”
When looking back over her experience, she says her admiration has always been her father. When asked“What advice would you give to anyone interested in the mining industry?”she highlights her father’s words, “No matter what you do, always give it your all.” Owing to these words, Patty has carried these principles throughout her successful career in the mining industry.
Looking ahead, Patty is enthusiastic to see Hermosa progress. “it’s amazing to see the growth of the company and the many growth opportunities that come with it.”
Originally from Yuma, AZ. Patty moved to Tucson in 2010 and is now a full-time resident in Patagonia. She now spends most of her time renovating her house and working on personal projects such as managing her other properties in the area. Although she likes to stay busy, Patty’s most valuable moments are when she spends time with her family.
