Nogales Tactical

Located at the heart of downtown Nogales, Nogales Tactical is a family-owned business with more than 20 years of history. Not only do they provide custom goods such as uniforms, and gear, they have clear goals in mind to support their community.

It all started with Joe Jada, founder of Nogales Tactical. With years of experience in the textile industry, he immigrated from the Middle East in 1999. When he moved to Nogales, Arizona, he had an opportunity to start selling uniforms and bring a service to local emergency services such as police and fire departments. Over time, their business grew and expanded to their three current locations in Arizona. Currently, Joe’s son, Sal Jada, is the owner and manager of these locations.

Today, Nogales Tactical is contracted by South32 Hermosa, provide custom high visibility uniforms and other clothing equipment for mining operations. Sal shared that his desire to collaborate with South32 stemmed from its strong community focus. “I know the impact it will make and we wanted to be a part of it,” he said.

By expanding their business, Sal said they can work towards their vision to revive downtown Nogales, where it was once known as a shopping hub. Sal and his family want to help change that. “We believe in the future of our community. This is our home, and we want to see it prosper.”

In addition to providing custom uniforms to the local police and fire departments, Nogales Tactical consistently looks for ways to show appreciation for emergency service members — hosting meals and offering gestures of recognition to thank those who support the region.

As they continue growing their work with South32 and other partners, their mission remains focused: serving their community.
